A superb mid Victorian period locket pendant / brooch, modelled in 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts), it is designed as a crowned heart set with a large, chunky, foil backed garnet cabochon, with the crown and tip comprised of rose cut diamonds set in silver and a locket compartment to the reverse.
Lovely quality, very collectible & so wearable!
CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Some very faint surface wear to garnet commensurate with age and use.
