Gold Day & Night Spike Earrings

A wonderful pair of antique Victorian English, solid 9 carat gold (test thereabouts) drop earrings; beautifully made, with gold wires, scroll & spike drops and floral tops that can be detached from the drops for wear alone. Of heavy duty hollow construction, typical of the period in which they were made.

Very pretty, wonderfully wearable and typically Victorian earrings - so collectable too!

CONDITION: All original and very good. Signs of wear to gold detail and light denting commensurate with age & use. Some solder repair visible to top sections - repaired in antiquity. Could do with a light clean/polish.  

DATE/MARKS: Around 1890/1900. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS: Tops 9 mm diameter, overall drop around 43 x 17 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm).

WEIGHT: Approx. 3.1 grams together.
