An antique English, solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) long guard / muff chain necklace; beautifully made, with textured links and a cannetille and emerald snap clasp.
Such a lovely Georgian chain...very sought after, so collectible & ready to wear!
CONDITION: All original and generally very, very good. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use, with some old repairs to two or three links (easily improved if desired) - see pics.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1820. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS: 45 inches long, 6 mm wide (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
