PAIR of ANTIQUE GEORGIAN ERA GOLD PORCELAIN URN SHAPED SEAL FOBS / CHARMS c1780
A fabulous pair of antique porcelain urn shaped fobs, with hand painted decoration, 9 carat gold (tests thereabouts or a little higher) fittings and agate & glass seal bases engraved with a classical warrior and 'Elisa' / 'Eliza' in reverse. Hung together on a gold chain and housed in a slightly later fitted box.
A wonderful little early pair...immensely collectible!
CONDITION: Some signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Some paint loss & tiny chips - see pictures. One porcelain body spins but in no danger.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1780. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS: Each 30 mm long, chain 3 ½ inches long (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT: Approx. 7.2 grams unboxed.
