ANTIQUE CHELSEA / ST JAMES GOUYN PORCELAIN CHERUB KNIFE GRINDER SEAL FOB c1750
An incredibly rare antique English, Chelsea / St. James porcelain (in all probability made by Charles Gouyn) fob; beautifully modelled as a putto or cherub sharpening a knife, with hand painted floral highlights to the base, gold suspension ring and fitted with a solid gold band to the base set with a translucent agate seal; engraved 'L'amitié' (Friendship) in reverse, above the image of two lover's hearts with a wreath laurel.
A deeply beautiful, extremely scarce and highly collectable fob!
