ANTIQUE GEORGIAN PERIOD 18K GOLD ENAMEL LOCKET MOURNING RING c1801 ANN APLETREE
An antique English, solid 18 carat gold (tests thereabouts) mourning ring; finely made, with black enamelling to the shank reading 'Ann Apletree Ob: 17 Apr 1801 Æ: 47', and a glass locket to the head holding an old hair memento, surrounded by seed pearls.
High quality, very collectible & wearable too!
CONDITION: All original and generally very good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use, some scratching / loss to enamel & glass - see pictures.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1801. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS: Head 13 x 11 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
RING SIZE: O or 7 ½ US (cannot be resized).
WEIGHT: Approx. 5.6 grams.
