An antique English, solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) mourning clasp; beautifully made, with an integrated snap fastener & holes for up to two necklace / bracelet strands, and decorated with applied green & rose gold floral designs around a tiny glass locket holding an old hair memento. Engraved to the back 'Eliz(abeth) Kemble died 5 April 1820 Aged 76'.

CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use.

DIMENSIONS: 16.5 x 12 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
