ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ENGLISH SILVER HINDU DEITY BANGLE w/ HIDDEN LOCKET c1890
An antique English, solid sterling silver bangle; finely made, with a sprung button snap closure, engraved decoration and an applied locket door embossed with Hindu deity motifs and opening to reveal a currently empty glass and the inner lid inscribed 'A. Pillar from her loving son William'.
A lovely quality & rather unusual example...so collectible & extremely wearable!
CONDITION: All original and very good. Slight signs of wear & shallow denting commensurate with age and use.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1880/90. Marked 'Sterling Silver E. Atkins Patent'.
DIMENSIONS: 32 mm wide, 6 ½ inches inner circumference (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT: Approx. 55.2 grams.
