ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 18K GOLD ENAMEL ROSE CUT DIAMOND STAR LOCKET PENDANT c1860
An antique solid 18 carat gold (tests thereabouts) pendant; beautifully made, with a green, red & white enamel border around a vivid blue guilloché enamel panel, topped with gold stars inset with glistening rose-cut diamonds. With a currently empty glass locket to the back.

CONDITION: Very good. Slight signs of wear, minor enamel loss & shallow denting commensurate with age and use - see pictures. Some deterioration to foiling. Originally a brooch & converted in antiquity.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1850/60. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS: 44 x 34 mm, largest diamond approx. 9.5 x 7.3 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT: Approx. 27.3 grams.
