A most unusual antique English, solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) cowrie shell-shaped locket; with finely applied vitreous enameling throughout, hinging open to reveal an interior enamelled in blue.
Very high quality, deeply beautiful & so collectable...not to mention wearable!
CONDITION: All original and very good. Slightest signs of enamel wear commensurate with age and use, a couple of fleabites, negligible. Hinges & closures good.
