15k Gold Natural Pearl Talon Stickpin

An antique English, solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) stickpin; beautifully modelled in full 3d as a claw / talon, holding a lustrous natural freshwater pearl - probably Scottish or Irish. The pin is as usual lower carat for strength, and also unscrews.

An eye catching, high quality and fabulously collectable Victorian stickpin - very wearable too!

CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Lightest wear, pin itself a little distorted - of no consequence.

DEFECTS: None.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1860/80. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS: 2 ¾ inches long overall, head 17 mm long (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
