An antique English, solid 18 carat gold (tests thereabouts) mourning ring; finely made, with a head decorated with black enamel around the motto 'In Memory Of A Beloved Husband', surrounding a tiny glass locket holding a hair memento topped with the initials FS. The band is enamelled with the dedication 'Francis Stephens OB 2 Dec 1804 Ae 26'.

Good quality, so collectible & wearable too!

CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Some faint surface scratches to glass. Minimal enamel loss.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1804. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS: Head 16 x 14 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
