An antique, solid and beautifully figured montrose lace agate patch / trinket box, with solid 22 carat gold (tests thereabouts) fittings and repousse cage work decoration, the lid hinging open to reveal a mirror and receptacle.
A fabulous quality period box...so collectible & extremely useable!
CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Tiny split to one inner seam - negligible - see pics.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1770/80. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS: 21 mm tall overall 35 mm diameter (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
