A solid high carat gold (tests around 22 carat, of somewhat typical hollow construction) signet ring, set with an ancient Roman agate intaglio seal, hand engraved to depict a bird mid-flight.
Scarce & immensely collectable...so wearable too!
CONDITION: Very, very good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Slight distortion to band.
DATE/MARKS: 2nd Century AD. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS: Seal 14 x 10 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
RING SIZE: Just under O ½ or 7 ½ US (can not be resized).
