An antique probably French, solid 18 carat gold (tests thereabouts) vinaigrette pendant; beautifully modeled as a purse / handbag, with applied rose, green & yellow gold flower motifs, studded with turquoise cabochons, and topped with a plaque engraved 'souvenir', opening to reveal a perfume soaked cloth.
A lovely Regency era example...so pretty, very collectible & perfect for wear on a chain!
CONDITION: All original and generally very, very good. Some signs of detail wear & shallow denting commensurate with age and use.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1820's. Not marked.
