









A lovely quality antique English, solid 15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) locket; beautifully made, with an ornate diagonal stripe motif inset with three sparkling old cut diamonds and hinging open to reveal two glass compartments (one holding an old photo but easily swapped out). Hung on a similar period 15 carat gold (tests) chain necklace, with faceted links and a barrel snap clasp.
A most impressive example...immensely collectible & ready to wear!
CONDITION: All original and generally very good. Slight signs of wear & shallow denting commensurate with age and use - see pictures. Tarnish easily cleaned up.
DATE/MARKS: Locket around 1880, chain a little later. Not marked.
DIMENSIONS: Locket 44 x 36 mm excl. bail, chain 17 ¾ inches long, diamonds approx. 4.2 mm diameter (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
