An antique French, solid 14 carat gold long guard / muff chain necklace; beautifully made, and fastened with a slim box snap clasp decorated with an enamel rose to one side, and an enamel pansy to the other, reading 'A Moi' (Pense a Moi / Think of Me).

Such a delicate & sweet example...immensely collectible & wearable too!

CONDITION: All original and very good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Faint denting and enamel loss to clasp.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1820/30. French hallmarks.

DIMENSIONS: Approx. 55 inches long (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
