An antique English flexible coiled snake mourning bracelet, the body constructed from finely woven hair, and the ends capped with 9 carat gold (tests, possibly gold cased in parts) head & tail fittings, each with engraved decoration and the head set with foiled garnets.
A most distinctive Victorian era example...so collectible - an wearable if you are brave!
CONDITION: Generally good. Slight signs of wear & tarnish commensurate with age and use. Some expected fraying to hair - see pictures. Drop missing to mouth.
