This exquisite antique pendant, crafted from solid 18 carat gold and silver is an absolute masterclass in craftsmanship. At its centre is a finely hand-carved natural sapphire cameo depicting the King of Siam in high relief. Surrounding the cameo are sparkling rose-cut diamond highlights in silver settings.
The King of Siam, refers to the monarchs of Thailand (formerly known as Siam). The most famous King of Siam in Western culture is King Mongkut (Rama IV), who reigned from 1851 to 1868 and was known for his modernization efforts and diplomatic relations with Western countries. His life inspired the famous musical "The King and I."
